Hey guys!

Make me lists of your favourite 'health' foods - they may or may not be technically labeled as such, but any food/drink/condiment/supplement that makes you go "hot damn, that is healthy!"... You know, something that you can just feel coursing through your body and fixing problems, energizing, stabilizing, healthifying your body and soul.

You know what I'm talking about!

foods:
egg whites
sweet potatoes
brown rice
grassfed beef
coconut milk/oil
raw milk
organic strawberries
greens (asparagus, brocoli, spinach)
organic bananas
raw salads with tons of herbs/tomatoes
refried black beans
chicken breast
kefir juice

Supplements:
BCAAs
fish oil
vitamin C (NOT ascorbic acid!)
magnesium tablets
melatonin
organic coffee
apple cider vinegar

Personally, I really enjoy:

Rooibos and green tea
Ginger
Lemon [any citrus, really]
Sunflower seeds
All steamed veggies [Mhmmm!]

...when I think of more, I'll post them.

Well, no! I most definitely should experiment a little more with a tea so native to my country and my culture.

Hrrrmmm, I would love to get my hands on some vanilla pods somehow... Haha. The smallness of the student town I stay in can really not be exaggerated enough.

Cocoa powder! I can feel it!

Coffee, ground beans from some mineral rich soil.

Turmeric.

Green T!

supplements=

Omega 3

Ginko bibola

Multibionta vitamin tablets

Milk thissle

i would like to say magnesium citrate... but for some reason it makes me feel bad. not sure why.

Nuts are amazing, but unfortunately I have a mental block against eating a lot of them because, after a small handful, I start to feel a little disgusted with all the oil in them. They feel like they block up my throat.

...and yes, I know the fat in nuts is good for you.

Avacados
Apple
Plum
Kiwi
Sprouts
Collards/chard/kale
Spinach
Garlic
Oranges
Brazil Nuts
Sunflower Seeds

Oranges
Carrots
Tomatoes
Onions
Almonds
Cashews
Walnuts
Pumpkin
Acorn Squash
Fish
Yogurt
Apples with cheese
New one: Brussel Sprouts
Blueberries
Sprouts
Avocado
I'm sure there is more but this is what I can think of off the top of my head :)

Here's what I buy on a typical Whole Foods/Fresh & Easy run (when I have the $):

Almond milk
Hemp cereal (Manitoba Harvest)
Flax seeds
Organic spinach leaves
Alfalfa sprouts
Cranberry juice (no sugar added)
Ginger root (tea)
Free-range chicken
Brown rice
Mangosteen juice
Green tea/white tea
Terra chips
Stir fry veggies (broccoli, peppers, etc.)
Lemons and limes
Whole grain pitas
Plain white yogurt (to go on the pitas)
Dark chocolate squares

Supplements: Kava, valerian root, Fibersure, D3/calcium, magnesium/zinc, multivitamin w/iron, milk thistle, uva ursi (for UTIs) and dandelion root.

Lately you're more likely to find me in the 99 Cent Store with a basket full of pizza rolls, Ramen noodles and pudding :}
